Putting the 'G' into GIS
GIS technology is naturally suited to the geography classroom. Wherever information can be linked to a location, you can analyse and display that information using GIS. For information and resources specific to the Geography or Study of Society and Environment (SOSE) teaching areas, click here.

Enhance your science classroom
GIS can add an extra dimension to your science classroom - the spatial dimension. You can view the distribution of local plant and animal species, you could measure data on air quality around the school and visually present this data or display water and soil quality information on a map. Whenever information can be connected to a location, you can use GIS to analyse and display that information. Click here for resources and information for teachers of science.
