ESRI Australia's Education Solutions

Education

ESRI Australia is a strong supporter of the education of students - of all ages - in location intelligence and the use of GIS.  Location intelligence and GIS are important in assisting educators, students, and their educational institutions to answer questions in all subject areas.  By looking at things from a location aspect, students like Jack can gain a deeper understanding of their own local environment in a national or global context.

GIS in Schools

Schools Program Web Page

Overview

ESRI Australia's GIS in Schools program is now entering its tenth year, and has helped over five hundred schools introduce GIS into their classroom.  Schools can use GIS to examine global issues such as development, where economic, social, political and environmental information like GDP can be overlayed with information about clean drinking water access, allowing the relationships between these
statistics to be visualised.

GIS in Universities
